AWARD-WINNING ARTISAN ITALIAN BRAND PROVIDES FREE GELATO TO LONDONERS AT THE
HOXTON HOTEL IN SHOREDITCH
Remeo Gelato (www.remeogelato.com), the award-winning artisan producers of UK’s first authentic Italian Gelato sold in a jar, are hosting a free, luxury, multisensory Gelato experience at the Pantry Kitchen in the Hoxton Hotel (www.thehoxton.com) Shoreditch.
Taking place from 6.30pm on Tuesday 11th July, the pop-up will give guests the opportunity to become Gelato experts, understanding the difference between Gelato and ice cream and learning how the product is hand made in Italy.
Londoners will get to taste a selection of the Gelato and Sorbetto flavours, and take home their best-liked jar in a bespoke Remeo Gelato goody bag. The journey will take no longer than five minutes per person.
Gelato Sommeliers will provide guests with a complete journey in to the five senses, showcasing the process, recipes and the ingredients that go into each of their signature transparent recyclable jars: from the fresh Alphonso mangoes in theirSorbetto to the rich, creamy Ecuadorian dark chocolate that is expertly blended into their Gelato, guests will learn how this experience is worlds away from that of ice cream. Attendees will choose their favourite ingredient and learn how it is turned into authentic Italian Gelato.
On a mission to provide Brits the traditional Italian Gelateria experience with every spoonful, Remeo Gelato’s in-house Mastri-Gelatieri’s carefully source the finest ingredients. Hand made in Milan, the Gelato is made using fresh milk, cream, pure raw sugar and complimented by rare and delicious produce. Being naturally healthier and lighter than ice-cream, thanks to its low amount of cream, no eggs and 100% natural ingredients, Gelato has on average 35% less calories than ice-cream. In addition to this, the slow churning process of Gelato incorporates less air in to the product and provides for a smoother texture and more flavour per spoonful.
In Latin, “Remeo” translates to “I return”, reflecting the brand’s ethos to reinvigorate the authentic gelato that originated in Italy.
